Stamp duty is charged on the higher of the agreement value and the jantri value, so check the jantri rate for the survey zone before you finalise the price; our jantri guide explains how it is applied. A buyer also withholds 1% TDS on a purchase of ₹50 lakh or more and deposits it against the seller's PAN; it is part of the price, not an extra cost. Maintenance deposits, club membership and parking are separate; see hidden charges.
